Description of Service Learner Role
There are two ways a student may volunteer:
- Complete a food drive within the student's neighborhood, family/friends, or other areas of influence and participation. A Fuel Pantry “toolkit” is available with materials to help with the drive.
- Work in the pantry, during pantry hours, assisting clients by checking them in and bagging their groceries as they check out.
Organization Requirements
Organizational ability, PC literacy, access to vehicle (for food drive), ability to lift a moderate amount of weight (groceries), positive attitude to help clients feel welcome.
