Spring term begins Monday, Jan. 25. Campus is closed to the public except for students
with on-campus courses. Learn what to expect on campus or read Coronavirus (COVID-19) updates.
On Friday July 24, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) provided updated guidance for F-1 international students. Please find below a summary of the new guidance as it pertains to enrollment at College of DuPage:
New Initial Students outside the U.S. in an Academic Program: The updated guidance will allow you the opportunity to apply for a new F-1 visa and enter the U.S. to study full time at College of DuPage, but you MUST enroll in at least one hybrid (HYB) course. Your other course selections may be any combination of online (NET), virtual classroom meetings (VCM) or hybrid (HYB).
If you decide to stay in your home country or you're have difficulty obtaining a visa appointment at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate, we can defer your admission to the Spring 2021 semester. If we defer your SEVIS I-20 for the Spring semester, you can still choose to begin your education online at COD.
Transferring Students inside the U.S. in an Academic Program: The updated guidance will allow for full time enrollment in courses taught online. This means you will be allowed to take your fall courses in any combination of instructional format including online (NET), virtual classroom meetings (VCM) or hybrid (HYB). The new guidance does NOT require students to enroll in a hybrid course.
