Academic advising is a key part of your success at College of DuPage. Our team of full-time advisors provides personalized, proactive support to help you navigate your educational journey, from your first semester through graduation or transfer.

Your advisor will work with you each semester to help you make informed decisions and stay on track toward your goals. Together, you’ll explore:

Plan your academic path with confidence. Your advisor will help you choose courses that fit your degree or certificate requirements while supporting your personal interests and career goals.
Get clear guidance on graduation requirements, transfer pathways, prerequisites, and college policies so you can make the best choices for your future.
Whether you’re earning a degree, preparing to transfer, or pursuing a new career, your advisor will help you define meaningful goals and create a step-by-step plan to achieve them.
Advisors can connect you with student support services such as tutoring, counseling, career services and financial aid, helping you get the most out of your COD experience.
If you encounter obstacles, your advisor is here to listen, strategize and support you in finding solutions that keep you moving forward.
Advisors help you explore transfer opportunities, research colleges and universities and plan a smooth transition to your next institution.

Choose your student type before making an appointment with an advisor and check out the helpful information and links to guide you through the process. Students should meet with an advisor once a semester prior to course registration opening to avoid the rush!
