Business Development Center COVID-19 Response
COVID-19 has forced us into uncertain times and what is now being called a ‘new norm’. The Illinois SBDC/PTAC/ITC at College of DuPage, as expert advisors, are here to advise and guide small businesses within our community. We are confident and know that we will get through this together!
Many are being bombarded through email with new information almost hourly. We have made the decision to post the COVID-19 Small Business Weekly Update as a resource guide for small businesses. Each week we are being asked specific questions so we are releasing those questions with answers. If you have a question that has not been addressed, please send that question to Rita Haake, email@example.com.
Are you ready to expand your business further?
From 2009 through 2012, Illinois exports increased by $26.5 billion or 64%, well above the national average of 46%. The international marketplace is a $4 trillion opportunity where American products can be competitive and profitable. Exporting offers the opportunity to open new markets, broaden customer bases and reduce seasonal fluctuations characteristic of domestic sales. New and expanded information tools and services make it easier for firms of all size to enter the international marketplace.
The specialized and customized advising services include:
- Export readiness assessment
- International market intelligence, customized market research
- Export compliance
- Product classification (Schedule B/ HTS code)
- Export financial resources, grant funding opportunities
- International shipping and logistics plan
- Trade finance and export insurance
