Elsevier's Health Education Systems Inc, Admission Assessment (HESI A2) exam can assess your basic learning skills and gauge future classroom success. The exam consists of several academic sections as well as a personality profile. This test is required for students applying to the Nursing (ADN), Radiography (DMIR), Sonography (DMIS), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), and Dental Hygiene (DEHYG) programs. The HESI A2 will only be administered to College of DuPage students by appointment at the Glen Ellyn campus.
Step One
Email academictesting@cod.edu for payment information. The exam fee must be paid before
scheduling your appointment.
Include the following information in the email.
- Name (First and Last)
- COD ID number
- COD email address
- Program that you are applying to (Nursing, Radiography, Sonography, PTA, or Dental Hygiene)
- Any approved COD testing accommodation
You will receive an email back, within two business days, with instructions for paying the fee.
Step Two
- Pay the fee. Within two business days, you will receive an email from Academic Testing with instructions for scheduling your exam.
Step Three
- Make your appointment. A registration link will be included in your email.
NOTE: If you would like to retake the HESI A2, you must complete the above steps again.
