Students enrolled at COD in developmental or college-level courses are eligible to receive course-based tutoring at no cost. Tutors can help review, clarify and reinforce concepts from lectures, labs, discussions or assigned readings.
Tutors are available for a range of courses including math, sciences, foreign languages, computer courses, nursing, technical and occupational areas. Tutoring sessions are led by peers and professional tutors who are current and former COD students and have demonstrated expertise in courses at the College.
Tutoring Services offers three different ways for students to connect with a tutor:
In-Person or Virtual Appointments
Students can request an in-person or virtual appointment by completing the tutoring services request form. Tutoring appointments last 50-minutes and can accommodate up to three students.
For more information on tutoring, visit the Learning Commons in the Student Resource Center (SRC) 2102 or contact the Learning Commons at (630) 942-3686.
