Students working together at a table on math homework

Mathematics Assistance

Math Assistance is a resource center for students enrolled in any COD math or physics course. Assistance for CIS 1400, CIS 2485 and Chemistry is available during limited hours.

Math Assistance is staffed by full-time COD mathematics faculty and part-time staff with subject-matter degrees who provide one-on-one help with coursework and concepts. Sessions may be limited to 15 minutes when other students are waiting, but students may request unlimited sessions in a given day, week, or semester.

Students can receive Mathematics Assistance through multiple ways:

Drop-In Assistance

Drop-in assistance is available in-person in the Student Resource Center (SRC) 2102 and limited hours in the Physical Education Center (PEC) 120. Live online assistance is available using Blackboard Collaborate. No appointment is necessary and all sessions are one-on-one unless a student requests otherwise.
