Requirements for obtaining an Illinois Real Estate Broker License
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Successfully complete the following required coursework
with strict attendance requirement of 75 classroom hours. - Real Estate Broker Pre-License Topics (60 classroom hours) (PROED 1130)
- Real Estate Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles (15 classroom hours) (PROED 1131)
- Pass the Illinois Real Estate Broker Examination
Requirements for obtaining an Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker License
- Be at least 20 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have a Real Estate Broker License for at least two years
- Successfully complete the following required coursework with strict attendance requirement of 45 classroom hours.
- Real Estate Managing Broker Pre-License Topics (30 classroom hours) (REALE 1138 or PROED 1138 at COD)
- Real Estate Managing Broker Pre-License Applied Management and Supervision (15 classroom hours) (REALE 1139 or PROED 1139 at COD)
- Pass the Illinois Real Estate Managing Broker Examination
