College of DuPage is expanding access to artificial intelligence tools through a collaboration with Google for Education. As part of this initiative, students, faculty, and staff will receive no-cost access to Gemini for Education™ and NotebookLM™, Google’s advanced AI tools designed to support learning, research, and creativity in a private and secure environment. The collaboration advances the College’s AI Literacy Program, equipping the campus community with the knowledge and experience needed to thrive in a workforce increasingly shaped by AI and emerging technologies.
Beginning in the 2026–2027 academic year, students will use these tools to support coursework, research, and career preparation. Faculty and staff will also have access to these resources to enhance teaching, instructional design, collaboration, and operational efficiency.
“Providing our students with AI resources such as Gemini for Education and NotebookLM helps them build practical experience using AI responsibly and ethically, while preparing them for a job market increasingly shaped by emerging technologies,” said College of DuPage President Dr. Siddiqi. “Every student deserves access to the AI skills needed to succeed in today’s job market."
By integrating industry-relevant AI tools into academic and operational environments, College of DuPage ensures that students, faculty, and staff gain hands-on experience with technologies already transforming fields such as healthcare, business, manufacturing, information technology, education, and the arts.
“Google for Education is proud to partner with College of DuPage on this important expansion of learning tools for students, faculty, and staff,” said Steven Butschi, Director of Education Go-to-Market, North America. “This collaboration reflects our shared belief that generative AI, when implemented responsibly, can enhance creativity, personalize learning, and prepare learners for the future. We’re excited to see how Gemini for Education will support the College’s mission and inspire a new generation of innovators.”
