Galactia, a Renaissance-era artist is commissioned to create a heroic painting memorializing “The Battle of Lepanto,” a famous naval victory of the Venetian government. But her artistic vision highlights the horror, cruelty and suffering of war - nothing that the government want to celebrate. Will Galactia choose to pander to the church and state or honor her artistic principles and doom herself?
