Neuro Enterprises is a manufacturer of surgical instruments and disposable devices. Not only that their products are built with top-of-the-line materials, backed by cutting-edge technology, their patented “ChicagoTip™” is an innovative, disposable, self-cleaning suction device, which provides a simple solution to allow surgeons to remove clogs and clear debris by pushing the internal retractable stylet within the handle.
As a long-term SBDC client, the Vice President of Neuro Enterprises has been receiving support from the ITC. During one follow-up session, Ali casually brought up a product compliance project they were working on and was quickly introduced to the Product Compliance Program under the ISTEP grant. With the help of the ITC, the application process was completed and the approval was granted just in time to have the project started following the original time frame.
“By working with the ITC we have successfully applied and been awarded a grant that will help us secure our CE certificate under the new MDR. This certification process is extremely costly to medical device companies so without help we would not find it profitable to enter the EU market. With this help, we are able to take the risk and hope to find the EU market profitable.”
Europe is an important market for most medical device companies. We look forward to
supporting Neuro’s market growth plan once the product certification is completed.
Meanwhile, Ali has some good plans targeting other parts of the world and will surely
have full support from ITC along the journey!
