CNC Mill Operator Apprentice, Glendale Heights

Project Hire-Ed is hiring with a local organization to hire a CNC Mill Operator apprentice.

At our Glendale Heights Illinois facility, we are seeking qualified individuals on 2nd shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:00AM) for a CNC Operator.

Work in our climate control facility, we machine high precision manifold blocks for use in our assembly lines. The CNC Operator will load and perform in process inspections in our production horizontal milling centers. (DMG MORI NH4000).

Duties

  • Interpret blueprints, routers, control plans in metric and with geometric tolerances.
  • Manufacture close-tolerance components from drawings and shop orders.
  • Proficient in the use of calipers, bore gauges, and other measurement devices.
  • Load parts and maintain part accuracy while performing in-process quality checks to our SPC software.
  • Perform daily checklist such as topping off coolant and checking fluid levels
  • Ensure all part paperwork and documentation is completed properly.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations including 5S practices.

Job Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED Required, some CNC experience.
  • Reliable, responsible, hardworking and to be focused on producing quality parts.
  • Attend any COD Manufacturing classes
  • You must have outstanding punctuality and attendance.
