The College of DuPage Board of Trustees re-elected Christine Fenne as its Chair during the Board’s annual Organizational Meeting held April 16. 

The Wheaton resident, who first became chair in 2023, previously served as Vice Chair and has held a variety of roles since first being elected to a six-year term in April 2017 and re-elected for a second term in April 2023. Fenne also served as Board Secretary, on the Board’s Auxiliary and Outreach Committee, on the Presidential Search Committee and as the Board’s Strategic Long Range Plan liaison. She also served as Board Chair in 2021 following the resignation of Frank Napolitano.  

“I am honored to continue the amazing work of this Board and the College,” Fenne said. “As we look for new opportunities to engage with and provide for our students and community members, I am excited to help plot the future of this incredible institution.”  

In addition, Trustee Florence Appel of Lombard was re-elected to serve a one-year term as Board Vice Chair and Trustee Andrew Manno of Aurora was re-elected to serve as Board Secretary.  

The Board also welcomed incoming Student Trustee Danna Gonzalez of Wheaton and recognized outgoing Student Trustee Isabella “Luna” Escobar for her service.
