World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization that is fighting for change that lasts, right here in the U.S. and across the globe. We bring sustainable solutions to the world’s greatest problems – disasters, extreme poverty, violence, oppression, and mass displacement.
In Chicagoland, we come alongside refugees and other immigrants in vulnerable situations as they rebuild their lives in the United States. Our key program areas work together to help low-income immigrant and refugee families build meaningful relationships, access needed resources, and overcome cultural, economic, language, legal, and social barriers so that every family can thrive.

Description of Service Learner Role
Service Learners can serve in a variety of ways with World Relief Chicagoland. From tutoring immigrant and refugee students, investing in young children through our early childhood program, providing transportation, setting up apartments for newly arriving families, and more, we have a place for you!
Some volunteer roles require more time commitment than service learning requires, so we ask that you commit fully to a volunteer role with World Relief even if it goes beyond your service learning requirements.
