The Outreach House's reason for being is simple: to provide compassionate and effective assistance to individuals and families in need with dignity and without judgment. Following a long and successful community presence addressing urgent needs for food, clothing, infant/toddler essentials, and emergency financial assistance, our four programs—First Things First, Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, and Walk-in Assistance - merged as one organization under The Outreach House. We provide services to residents of York Township, Addison, and Glendale Heights.

- Monday, Wednesday, Fridays: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 11.30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Third Saturday of each month: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Description of Service Learner Role
Pick up donated food from local retail stores, sort food and clothes, and stock shelves and clothing racks. Assist guests in First Things First, Clothes Closet, and Food Pantry. Help with cleaning and restocking of food Transport food waste to compost and other items we cannot use to Goodwill

- Please schedule yourself for one of the available volunteer orientations. Please do not call asking for orientations not listed or to be excused from this requirement. Once your orientation is complete you will have access to our full volunteer schedule, where you can schedule your required hours.
