Faculty Demos and Development Sessions
Faculty Demos start promptly at noon unless otherwise noted. Registration is required through Cornerstone.
Career Ready Tools for the Classroom
Eight out of 10 college students say they prefer to get career advice from their faculty and instructors. Career Services wants you to be prepared to answer those questions and aware of the resources available to College of DuPage students. Attend this session to learn about resume, interviewing, and other career readiness tools you can use in the classroom and/or students can access at any time.
Connecting Careers and the Classroom
Studies have shown the primary motivator for students is preparation for the workforce. Join COD’s Career Services Center for a discussion on how skills you are teaching relate to jobs our students want. After this session, you will be able to connect learning outcomes to career readiness based on competencies identified by National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
Engaging Careers in the Classroom
Join COD’s Career Services Center for a high-impact discussion on how internships, service learning, and career conversations and assignments can significantly enhance student learning. After this session, you will be familiar with valuable resources and tools to integrate into your classroom, helping to align academic learning with career aspirations.
Note: Faculty Develop Sessions earn EDC Credits.
