To assist with financial aid counseling, the Office of Student Financial Assistance provides Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion sessions. For more information, call (630) 942-2251 or email financialaid@cod.edu.
FAFSA and Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid Completion Sessions
The 2025-2026 FAFSA and Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid covers Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
- If completing the FAFSA, student and all contributors must have their FSA ID set up at studentaid.gov > Create Account
- Copy of student’s 2023 Federal Tax Return and/or W2 Forms
- If Dependent, a copy of parent’s 2023 Federal Tax Return and/or W2 Forms
- If married, a copy of spouse’s 2023 Federal Tax Return and/or W2 Form
The 2026-2027 FAFSA and Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid covers Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
- If completing the FAFSA, student and all contributors must have their FSA ID set up at studentaid.gov > Create Account
- Copy of student’s 2024 Federal Tax Return and/or W2 Forms
- If Dependent, a copy of parent’s 2024 Federal Tax Return and/or W2 Forms
- If married, a copy of spouse’s 2024 Federal Tax Return and/or W2 Form
Students can also reach out to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) for one-on-one assistance.
