Need-Based Hotspot Lending Program

The Need-Based Hotspot Lending Program is designed to support students who face financial challenges in accessing reliable internet services for their academic needs. This program provides temporary hotspot devices to students who demonstrate financial need, ensuring that they have the connectivity required for coursework, research, and communication.

Eligibility and Application Process

  • The program is available to students with demonstrated financial need, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Assistance.
  • Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, so early submission is encouraged.
  • To apply, students must complete the required application through the Office of Student Financial Assistance. Only eligible students will be considered for a hotspot.
  • Once a student is selected, they will be notified through their COD student email with further instructions.

Program Details

  • Hotspot devices are awarded for one academic term only. A new application must be submitted each term if continued assistance is needed.
  • Device availability is limited, and all applications will be considered based on the program's funding and device stock.
  • The hotspots provided are for educational use only and are intended to help students access essential academic resources, participate in online classes, and complete assignments.
