Who can enroll in the program?
- Students who have completed an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Accounting at College of DuPage (COD).
- New students interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting offered by Lewis University.
- Students who graduated from College of DuPage and went elsewhere can be considered for admission for this 3+1 program if they complete any necessary prerequisites. A transcript evaluation needs to be completed by both schools.
Program Overview
- Lewis coursework will be offered online or at Lewis University campuses.
- The 32-34 credit hours earned through Lewis University are offered at a discounted tuition rate.
- For students earning an AAS degree in Accounting, the program consists of 128-134 credit hours, including 94-98 credit hours of College of DuPage courses and 32-34 credit hours of Lewis University coursework.
The Advantage
The 3+1 program allows students to complete their AAS degree from College of DuPage. Once completed, our students are allowed to take additional courses beyond their degree from COD paying our much lower tuition rates. Lewis university coursework will be charged at Lewis will charge tuition for their courses at a 35% discount from the published per credit hour rate. This program exemplifies College of DuPage's mission to make education more affordable for its students while stressing academic quality, first-class faculty and extraordinary learning environments.
The College of DuPage Accounting Program and Lewis University College of Business will maintain ongoing confirmation that the course curriculum is in alignment with Illinois CPA Licensure Exam Requirements.

Baccalaureate to Masters Option
Eligible students may substitute up to three graduate courses from the College of Business for the undergraduate elective courses. Tuition for the graduate coursework will be charged at the 3+1 tuition rate and financial aid will apply. After conferral of the bachelor’s degree, eligible students may continue enrollment in one of the graduate programs within the Lewis University College of Business and receive the Frequent Flyer tuition discount.
