Fuel Garden at the College of DuPage

The Fuel Garden serves the COD community, growing organic herbs and vegetables to support the Fuel Pantry. The Pantry is for all students, faculty, and staff in need of assistance. The goal of the Fuel Garden it to provide fresh produce for members of our campus community who may be food insecure. The Fuel Garden includes 9+ outdoor growing beds, rooftop garden beds and hydroponic towers.

Days/Hours Available for Service Learners

Fall 2022 (through Nov. 18): Due to the nature of gardening, hours may vary throughout the year, however the hours are generally flexible to meet the needs of the student. Students are usually able to make their own hours based on their availability, after initial training.

Assist in the garden and greenhouse: watering, weeding, harvesting
