Student Experiential Programs

The Career Services Center defines, experiential learning as the opportunity to engage with local employers and non for profit organizations to learn more about a specific industry, or career of interested. Students completing an experiential learning program will provide students with additional information and insights regarding their career goals and career trajectory.

We strive to provide meaningful, and valuable experiences for our campus community.

Experiential Learning opportunities are provided by the Career Services Center through the following programs:

Academic Internship Program

Earn academic credit for the experience with your internship host site. Learn more about the Academic Internship Program.

Service Learning Program

An academic based volunteer program that gives you the opportunity to expand your comfort zone and learn the importance of civic engagement. Learn more about the Service Learning Program.

Informational Interview Program

This program is currently on hold for 2022-2023 academic year.

An Informational Interview can provide you with guidance and understanding of your career choice. This is a virtual opportunity that connects you with a Career Professional for a 45 minute interview where YOU ask all the questions. Learn more about the Informational Interview Program.

Career Professional Mentoring Program

This program is currently on hold for 2022-2023 academic year.

A partnership through the Inclusive Excellence Peer Mentoring Program. Students must be a Mentor or past Mentor but current COD student to participate. Learn more about the Career Professional Mentoring Program.
