Career Services for Employers

The Career Services Center can assist local businesses with their recruitment efforts for a variety of positions including part-time and full-time positions, internships and seasonal jobs.

Career Services provides:

  • Access to Chaps Get Hired, COD's online career job board that connects employers to students by posting available positions.
  • Tables in high-traffic areas for on-campus recruitment.
  • On-campus interviewing.

Employers are asked to review COD's Recruiting Policies and contact Career Services with any specific questions.

Post a Job

The Chaps Get Hired job board can connect you to students when you post open positions. To post a position, employers must first register their organization by following these steps:

  • Visit Chaps Get Hired.
  • Click on "Chaps Get Hired Login" on upper right side of page.
  • Click on "Employer."
  • Click on "Register Now" for the online registration form.

Once an employer is registered, they will receive a password to login within 24 hours. This access will allow employers to post positions.

Post an Internship

Are you willing to mentor a student-intern or are you interested in workforce development? Do you want to learn about the new generation entering the workforce? Get the help you need, support a student's development and strengthen your workforce in partnership with the Internship Program.

How to Post an Internship

Employers are encouraged to post internship opportunities on Chaps Get Hired. All internship positions should be posted here and should follow the same process as posting permanent positions. Review the Employer Internship Guide before posting internships.

Interested COD students will identify themselves as candidates and contact the employer directly, according to the instructions provided on Chaps Get Hired. COD students who meet course prerequisites have the opportunity to enroll for academic credit, which creates a learning partnership involving faculty, employer and student. Other students pursue internships solely for the work experience and do not pursue academic credit.

Workforce Wednesday Recruiting Program

During the fall and spring semesters, Career Services hosts a 10-week on-campus recruiting program for local employers. The purpose of Workforce Wednesday is to bring local employers to campus to build their brand and recruit for open positions. Career Services highlights specific weeks to welcome employers across industries and highlighting internship opportunities. Priority approval is given to employers with internship opportunities.

Visit Employer Recruitment Policies to learn about the recruiting policy and complete the reservation request form.

Workforce Wednesday Dates

Due to anticipated construction and limited capacity, the Workforce Wednesday program will not be offered during the 2023-2024 academic year. Career Services will release communication through Chaps Get Hired about future Workforce Wednesday offerings.

Please note that the Workforce Wednesday program is not offered during the summer term.

*All communication for employer engagement events are sent through Chaps Get Hired. Career Services may be unable to respond to all requests regarding this event.
