I get to work with a team of fantastic colleagues in Project Hire-Ed and we work together to serve as a bridge between employers and College of DuPage. Through this work, we impact students by supporting access to education and employment and helping them build their careers.

I feel strongly connected to the mission of the college in serving the community and I enjoy working with great colleagues across the college.

Favorite hobbies and extracurricular activities outside of work

When I’m not working you can find me hiking with my dog, at a sporting event with my kids or on a lake in Michigan.

I enjoy working with students, faculty, staff, administrators and the community at College of DuPage; I especially enjoy working with students through the connection of Project Hire-Ed. Being able to assist apprentices through their Apprenticeship journey is commendable.

It is great to work alongside with colleagues that have the same ambition for student success.

I enjoy cooking and listening to music, all types. I love spending time with my family, especially in an outdoor event like hiking and playing soccer.

I know that COD is tremendous at bridging the skill gap between education and the world of work. Everyone here is committed to student success.

I love to travel, especially overseas, and cooking is my favorite way to clear my mind. I write for fun, and have been working side by side with my children on their own writing projects.

I enjoy helping to spread the word about our “earn and learn” model. Where else could one get paid to go to college, earn a full-time salary, learn great skills and have no college debt! It’s a fantastic program.

Working for Project Hire-Ed gives me the opportunity to combine many of my interests and skills. It is always exciting to meet with potential apprentices and help them prepare for a new career. Whether it is helping the student explore their career options or working with them one-on-one to prepare for the application process, it is a rewarding job to see how apprenticeship can change a person’s life.
