Pre-Architecture

This program will enable you to earn an architectural degree and become a licensed architect. As an architect, you will be responsible for the planning, designing and oversight of the construction of a building. This degree leads to transfer, typically to the junior year of a professional program. This Pre-Architecture associate’s degree is appropriate if you plan to transfer to professional architecture programs. Program requirements may vary depending on the transfer institution, so you should consult with an advisor for elective selections.

I played with Legos and Lincoln Logs, but it was the Chicago skyline that first got me enthusiastic about architecture. COD provided me the skills and confidence to take my education to the next level. The Architecture program provides all the resources you could ask for and a greater degree of personal attention than I think you would find at most other schools. I really don’t think there’s a COD alternative. And if you do decide to enter the program, get ready for some long nights.

The professors do such a great job of inspiring their students. My passion for architecture grew with each class I took. I would not be where I am today without the amazing program and educators at College of DuPage. They expose you to not just the pragmatic concerns of architecture but also the abstract theoretical concepts that allow us to innovate.
