Graphic Design Students ‘Wipeout!’ with Gray Matters Games

Students in graphic design discuss the creation of a new Gray Matters Games project.

Innovation DuPage member Gray Matters Games and students in COD’s Graphic Design program worked together on the design of the Word Wipeout! board game, which recently made its debut. It is a unique partnership that gave students hands-on experience at a local company that has grown its board game business thanks to Innovation DuPage, the business incubator and accelerator co-founded by COD.

Students in the Graphic Design program worked with Joe Barron, co-founder and head of game design at Gray Matters Games, to develop and design the family game. Word Wipeout! can be found at 600 Barnes and Noble Bookstores nationwide as this year’s featured holiday game and has been nominated as game of the year by the TAGIE Awards, which annually honors innovators, designers and marketers in the toy and game industry.
