Student Entrepreneurs to Present Business Ideas at College of DuPage’s Third Pitch Contest on Nov. 20

College of DuPage students, recent alumni and local district high school students will present innovative business ideas to a panel of experts during COD’s third Pitch Contest from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the College’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

The contest, now in its third year, will feature a top prize of $3,000 and a six-month Innovation DuPage membership. The second-place prize will be $2,000 and the third-place prize will be $1,000. Participants will have the opportunity to receive insightful advice, explore resources and network with fellow entrepreneurs.

Pitch Contest participants will represent COD, Glenbard East High School, Illinois Math and Science Academy, Naperville Central High School and Wheaton Warrenville South High School.

New this year, 11 additional student entrepreneurs will have booths to display their businesses, with some selling their goods and services. These businesses will be competing for $500, with the audience deciding the winner. These students will represent COD, Barrington High School, Glenbard East High School and Wheaton North High School.

The competition is hosted in partnership with the Innovation DuPage, College of DuPage Foundation, e2 Emerging Entrepreneurs, College of DuPage Continuing Education and the Small Business Development Center.
