SSG Miller Homeland Security Education Center
Designed to expose the officer to the current tactics when confronted by an active shooter, this class covers the tactics of solo officer deployment and recent trends of active shooters. Experience has shown that waiting for multiple officers to arrive at the scene of an active shooter can cost the lives of those we serve. Officers receive demonstrations and hands-on instruction of solo officer deployment tactics. The SLEA street scene and weapons systems will be used in scenario-based training to practice the knowledge, skills and abilities learned.
• Tactics of solo officer deployment
• Team deployment formations and tactics to confront an active shooter
• Officer/citizen rescue techniques for critical incidents.
*Come in working uniforms.
