Description:

Open to students, faculty, staff and community. The National African American Read-In is the nation’s first and oldest event dedicated to diversity in literature. A national literacy initiative of the National Council of Teachers of English, the event is sponsored on campus by the College of DuPage Library and was established by COD’s Africa and African Diaspora Committee. This year the readers are encourage to share information about themselves and then present their favorite selections from African American books, essays, music and poetry collections with a brief biological summary of the authors.
