Join us for Signing Circle, a monthly event for practicing American Sign Language receptive skills, increasing understanding of Deaf culture and connecting with others interested in American Sign Language. Deaf signers will share their life stories in American Sign Language and invite discussion.
This month our featured signer is Suzy Laskowski. Laskowski is Deaf and has two Deaf children; a two-and-a-half-year-old and an eight-month-old. She has taught Deaf children from zero to eight-years-old and hearing high school and college students, including on a remote island for one year. Laskowski received her education in both a public school and a residential school for the deaf. She graduated from Gallaudet University.
Discussion will be in American Sign Language. English interpretation will be provided for non-signing participants.
Signing Circle is free and open to the public.
