Speaker's Biography:
Melissa has 17+ years experience as a clinical dietitian. Melissa currently is the Director of Nutrition Services at AMITA Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, Illinois overseeing the nutritional care of patients in all ABBHH programs.She also is a clinical dietitian for the outpatient and inpatient eating disorder programs at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital and assists in the development and implementation of treatment interventions for this population.
Melissa received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University, completed the Edward Hines VA Dietetic Internship Program, and completed her graduate degree in nutrition and wellness at Benedictine University. Melissa also has a private practice specializing in working with individuals struggling with eating disorders.
