Virtual Event - Why Accessibility Matters: Moving Beyond AccommodationsThursday, 18 February, 2021
Facilitator: Corey Axelrod, founder and CEO of 2axend
While organizations have made proactive efforts to provide a wide range of accommodations, these efforts may not entirely address the needs of those who are disabled, let alone those who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. As a result, these organizations fail to create fully inclusive and accessible environments. During this workshop, Corey Axelrod will build a business case for embracing communication accessibility while deepening participants’ understanding of the essential differences between providing reasonable accommodations and creating inclusive, accessible environments for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
Workshop will be in ASL. English interpretation will be provided for non-signing participants.
Corey Axelrod, MBA, is fourth generation Deaf,
