Vetcom Logistics

Founded in 2007 by seasoned supply chain professionals, VETCOM is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) located in a HUB Zone. VETCOM combines logistics expertise with innovative technology to manage the delivery of goods-safely, securely, rapidly, and experience. They know what it takes to work globally and stay competitive in today's environment.

Vetcom's history with the PTAC spans over a few years. In April of 2015, Mark Rerko, Vetcom's VP reached out with a simple request, "We need help in navigating local, state and federal government opportunities." Little did Mark know, Amber Gardner, PTAC Coordinator and Rita Haake Center Director at College of DuPage would fully embrace being Vetcom's guides. Two months later, Richard Owen, Vetcom's President, and Mark were eyeing a particularly large USTRANSCOM contract. (Large meaning it was awarded 9 months after the presolicitation release, it was modified numerous times, and it was still a small business set aside!) Unfortunately, Vetcom was not the awardee for this contract, but the learning experience amped them up to keep trying. From this experience, Mark and Richard decided the needed to be more proactive and research and reports became a primary focus. Over the last three years, Amber has run countless reports for Vetcom to help them competitively position themselves.

Mark Rerko, Vetcom's VP stated: "Vetcom is unique in its ability to bring logistics and business process solutions to government and government contractors. We could not have done it without the tireless help from Amber and Rita at the Illinois PTAC office. The seminars, endless questions answered are as thorough and professional as you will ever find, and many are free! They genuinely want us to succeed!"
