Traditional classroom courses are offered on campus and usually take place in a classroom on the College of DuPage main campus. Instructors are using Internet technology in the on-campus classes with an Internet component, as well as traditional face-to-face sessions. Students should have an email address and be familiar with basic word processing and Internet searching in preparation for all library technology classes.
These classes do not meet in a classroom on campus. All online course sessions are completed through the Internet using Blackboard. Students complete assignments at a computer location of their choice and at the times that work for them. Most classes are "asynchronous" meaning that students work on classes at a time that they choose. A few classes have a "synchronous" component where students meet during pre-announced times via Blackboard Collaborate. Students and instructors communicate through email and the Internet.
