The Math Assistance Area (MAA) is a resource center for students enrolled in any COD classroom or online math course through Math 2232.
The MAA is staffed by full time COD mathematics faculty and non-classroom part time faculty providing one-on-one help with homework problems or clarifying concepts from math coursework. Sessions are limited to 15 minutes when other students are waiting, but students may have unlimited turns.
The MAA also has the current textbooks used in all COD math courses as well as solution manuals, computers, videos, and calculators. All materials must be used in the MAA with the exception of calculators which may be checked out for short periods of time.
The Math Assistance Area is primarily a drop-in center, but appointments can be made for students with time constraints.
Videos are available to support the following courses:
Mathematics 0452, 0460, 0470, 0481, 0482, 1108, 1220, 1428, 1431, 1432, 1635, 2231, 2232, 2233 and 2235.
The MAA also offers math help online.
