All Live Stream events take place at 7 p.m. central time and can be accessed on our home page. The Physics of Baseball with Alan M. Nathan
How does a baseball bat work? Does the batter's grip matter? What is "spin efficiency" and why do pitchers care? Learn the answer to these questions and more as we take a peek inside the world of baseball through the lens of physics. Professor Emeritus of Physics Alan M. Nathan from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will present this engaging talk while sprinkling in amusing high-speed videos and anecdotes about our national pastime. This talk has something for everybody, whether your interest is primarily physics, baseball, or the intersection between them.
