Description of Organization:
American Association of Retired Asians (AARA) is a not for profit 501C3 organization dedicated to serving the older adults of South Asian American community. While the services provided by AARA are available to all, AARA was specifically established to address the complex needs of the underserved South Asian American older adult population. This population has long gone underserved due to various cultural, dietary and linguistic barriers that have prevented access to public and private resources. AARA strives to overcome these barriers by providing cultural and linguistically compatible services or assistance to seniors to access available public resources and private service providers.
Description of Service Learner Role:
Outreach, managing the offsite older adult congregate meal program, interacting with clients and maintaining their daily record.

- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, car available.
