Professional,
fee-based tutoring is available in a variety of subject areas for children,
teens and adults through the Scholars Academy at College of DuPage. Private
and small-group tutoring sessions are available at several off-campus
locations, as well as on the Glen Ellyn campus.
Scholars Academy is ideal for students who: need personal guidance in
areas of study skills and test-taking strategies, want help preparing
for national college entrance exams, are having difficulty with a particular
course, want to improve job-related skills or prepare for career retraining,
or wish to explore new areas of enrichment.
All tutors hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree, and many have master's
and doctorates. They are state-certified in their subject areas or have
demonstrated subject matter expertise and teaching ability. They have
been selected for their tutoring skill, knowledge and sensitivity to individual
needs.
