The Writing and Reading Center is open to all College of DuPage students, faculty, staff and community members, free of charge. Our writing and reading coaches are both peer tutors and part-time faculty from the Liberal Arts Division. The Writing and Reading Center is open year-round during the spring, summer and fall terms. Hours are Mondays to Fridays at the main campus, with Saturday morning and evening hours available at the Addison, Naperville and Westmont centers. [Hours and Locations]

Our writing coaches provide one-to-one assistance with a variety of activities, such as narrowing a topic, focusing a thesis, deciding on strategies and revising a paper. Assistance is available for all types of projects in all academic dischiplines. In addition, ou
r reading coaches help students at all levels improve their comprehension and develop strategies that enhance overall learning absorption and reading enjoyment.

Some students are referred to the Writing and Reading Center, while others seek assistance on their own. Coaching takes place during a single session or through a series of standing appointments.
