Committes
and Sub-Committees
The Employee Wellness Committee meets periodically to plan and implement the year's upcoming events.
The committee is made up of primarily full-time employees. If you are interested in participating,

Meet your
Wellness Committee Members.
Below are descriptions of the current wellness sub-committees.
Wellness Advisory Board
This board is comprised of members of each of the constituency groups
at the college. Chosen by their respective leadership for a period
of two years, these members review the strategic planning of the Wellness
Program and are active in developing new ways to enhance the program.
Members for 2007-2009 are Kathy Doyle, Nancy Haines (Classified members); Scott Albert, Kathleen Mital (Faculty members); Greg Joos (Administrative member); and Sue Benton HR Resource).
Responsibilities include:
Communicates
Wellness program to Cabinet
Coordinates strategic
planning of Wellness program
Approves annual operating
plan
Approves annual Wellness
budget
Communications Committee
Coordinates all wellness communications for the program. This committee
meets once a quarter to review the following quarters agenda with
e-mails in between or as needed.
Responsibilities include:
Coordination
and publication of quarterly newsletter, Balanced Lifestyles, in cooperation
with other areas concerned with wellness. These areas currently are
Health and Special Services, Physical Education department, Human Services,
Counseling, and Public Safety.
Quarterly publication
of Employee Personal Development brochure
Dispenses weekly e-mail
wellness tips through the title of Tips for Healthy Living
Wellness cart department

Publicity Committee
Promotes all wellness events during the year through multi-communication
channels. This committe meets as needed.
Responsibilities include:
Selects proper
advertising plan for event for Wellness Committee approval
Disperses all promotional
material to correct communication channel
Cooperates with Communications
Committee for any advertisement in other wellness publications
Web Site Committee
Future development and maintenance of Intranet web site for Wellness
program. This committee meets quarterly for updates and maintenance.
Responsibilities include:
Communications
with college Intranet program
Home page updates
Wellness link research
Web site maintenance
Wellness Fair Committee
Coordinates the annual event the third week of each February. Committee
will establish meeting times.
Responsibilities include:
Beginning planning
during previous summer months.
Sub-committee functions
for overall planning, vendors, speakers, massage room, etc.
Coordinates with Communications
and Publicity Committee for event promotion.
Employee Health and Fitness Month
Coordinates this event during the third week in May each year. Committee
will establish meeting times.
Responsibilities include:
Beginning planning
process by the first of the year.

Activities Committee
Coordinates all activity programs throughout the year. This committee
meets once a month.
Responsibilities include:
Coordination
and implementation of Step into . . . . : Walking program

Coordination of other
activity programs as needed
