Have you ever postponed leaving your house or car until a certain piece of music or news feature has finished? Perhaps you heard a news story that made you think of the world in a new way. These are examples of the public radio experience, and it's experiences such as these that make Public Radio from College of DuPage worth listening to and supporting. Each and every day, our goal is to provide listeners with the best of the public radio experience.

We do that with your support. We ask that you make the decision to be one of the growing number of WDCB listeners who are contributors.

Survey results tell us that you, the public radio listener, find our programming to be informative, educational, stimulating and important. Your support is crucial not only to maintain the level of programming you have come to expect from your public radio station, but also to ensure our continued growth. Friends of WDCB membership dollars purchase programming, produce this program guide and our monthly Cuetone newsletter that all Friends of WDCB receive, and promote WDCB to potential listeners and contributors. Only through demonstrated listenership and financial stability are we able to be truly confident of our future.

Federal funding for public broadcasting has stabilized for now, yet all indications show that the future holds further reductions to this portion of our revenue. You represent one of the vital links to our future, as listener contributions represent the largest single portion of revenue in the public radio industry. We are working toward a time when we will not rely on federal support and will be self-sufficient, generating sufficient revenues from a variety of sources. By being an annual donor, you help build this important revenue base. We ask you to be a contributor so that we can continue providing you with high quality music and news around the clock.

You can support Public Radio from College of DuPage in two ways. One, you already do: you listen to our programming. Thank you. But the other important way to demonstrate your support is to be an annual donor. We need both kinds of support to continue to pay for the programs you enjoy. These two kinds of support go hand in hand.
