Attendance and Financial Aid

Financial assistance– whether it is grants or loans – is awarded to you on the assumption that you will attend and be academically engaged in your classes for the entire length of the semester. Any changes you make to your schedule – dropping a class, adding a class, failing a class, not attending a class - may impact your financial assistance for not only the current semester, but future semesters, too.

ALERT: Withdraws, fails, and incomplete grades can affect your Satisfactory Academic Progress

** Financial Aid Tips **

  1. Withdraws, fails and incomplete grades can affect your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).  This means you may lose your financial aid eligibility at College of DuPage and may need to file an appeal to have your eligibility reinstated.
  2. Before you drop any classes, be sure to contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance to ensure it will not affect your financial aid.
