Paying for Your Education

College of DuPage is the most cost-effective path to the career of your dreams. Tuition is $136 per semester credit hour for in-district students, while the average annual cost in tuition and fees for a full-time student is approximately $3,200.

Regardless of our educational value, we understand that paying the cost of a college education is a concern for nearly every student and family. Few people have the resources to simply write a check for the full cost of tuition each semester. That’s why it is important to have a solid plan for covering your tuition responsibilities.

Financial Aid

The Office of Student Financial Assistance provides a comprehensive range of services that bridge the gap between the financial resources of students and their families and the cost of education at College of DuPage, helping eliminate the economic barrier to obtaining an education.

Students are strongly encouraged to apply for financial aid in the form of federal grants, state grants, Federal Work Study, and Federal Stafford Loans. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA, online at www.fafsa.gov.

PAYMENT POLICY: All students are required to pay their tuition and fees at the time of registration. Students may pay by cash, check or credit card. Students unable to pay in full must enroll in our convenient "Payment Plans". Students receiving financial aid (i.e., grants and loans) must enroll in the College's deferred payment plan. Direct links to these payment options are found in myACCESS. (Eligibility for automatic payments is based on the status of your Financial Aid Award. If your Financial Aid application is incomplete when you register for classes you may not be able to take advantage of the deferred payment option.)
