C.O.D.,
National-Louis Agree on ‘3+1’ Program
By Ken Reed
A unique “3+1” transfer agreement between College of DuPage
and National-Louis University (NLU) will allow C.O.D. students who earn
an Associate in Applied Science degree in Management to take a third
year of coursework at C.O.D. before transferring into NLU’s Bachelor
of Arts degree in Business Administration for their senior year.
All credits earned at C.O.D. will transfer to NLU.
Classes in the final year of the bachelor’s degree program will
be offered at NLU’s Lisle campus, which is located about five
minutes from C.O.D., near the I-88 and Route 53 intersection.
“This is a great program for C.O.D. students who want to stay
in the area and finish their bachelor’s degree,” said Karen
Randall, C.O.D. associate dean, Business and Technology. “There
is an enormous cost savings for students because of the ability to take
three years worth of coursework at C.O.D.”
For more information on this transfer agreement, call C.O.D.’s
Business and Technology Division, (630) 942-2592, or NLU at (888) 658-8632.
C.O.D.,
Benedictine Offer ‘2+2’ Transfer Agreements
By
Ken Reed
College of DuPage and Benedictine University have established several
unique “2+2” transfer agreements that allow C.O.D. students who earn
Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees in certain majors to seamlessly
transfer all credits to Benedictine and earn a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree in Management and Organizational Behavior.
C.O.D. students who earn A.A.S. degrees in Management, Marketing, Real
Estate and Construction Management are now able to transfer all credits
into Benedictine University’s bachelor degree program. Benedictine University
would then define for C.O.D. graduates what courses they would take
in their third and fourth years at that university.
“This is a great partnership for our students who are attracted to Benedictine
University,” said Karen Randall, C.O.D. associate dean, Business and
Technology. “This is another local university that C.O.D. students can
transfer to for bachelor’s degree completion.”
Randall said C.O.D. and Benedictine University are also working on other
“2+2” agreements that involve C.O.D.’s Hospitality Administration, Travel
and Tourism, Fashion Merchandising and Design and Facilities Management
areas.
“Benedictine University is trying to agree on as many ‘2+2’ programs
with our division as they can. They are looking at what lines up with
their Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Organizational Behavior.”

942-2592, or Benedictine University at (630) 829-6300.
