Student Spotlight: Jenna Rothmund
Major: Hospitality Management
It took one semester for Jenna Rothmund to know College of DuPage was the right place for her.
"I became very passionate about the Hospitality program, and my professors all worked in the industry and have so much to share," she said. "They have done an amazing job at teaching all of the students what it takes to work in this industry."
Rothmund originally came to COD because of the affordable tuition, which gave her the opportunity to work and save money while going to school. So far, she has earned her associate's degree in Hospitality Management in 2013 and is now pursuing her bachelor's degree from Roosevelt University through the 3+1 program between the two schools, which allows her to stay on COD's campus for her final year of classes taught by Roosevelt professors.
Although she's not sure which direction to take once she completes her bachelor's, Rothmund is thankful that College of DuPage continues to help her meet goals in every aspect of her life.
"I've always been interested in the Hospitality industry. I love helping people and this industry is all about serving the community in so many different ways," she said. "With the new Culinary & Hospitality Center on campus, you get the best training in the city for what you want to do. Seeing how much this program has grown over the past few years makes me very proud to say that I attended COD."
