Will
the avian influenza virus (bird flu) mutate by changing its genetic
code and emerge as a new and deadly flu that can spread from human to
human? Will the United States be ready for this, or will it be another
disaster like Katrina? Some predict that 50 percent of the population
might die. Will our doctors and hospitals be prepared for millions of
sick people?
