How
Globalization Breeds Ethnic Hatred
Presented by Amy Chua
“Why
do they hate us?” is a question often asked after September 11.
Is it because Americans have become the world’s market-dominant
minority? Or is it perhaps because we have attained heights of wealth
and economic power wildly disproportionate to our tiny numbers? Are
there any solutions? Is this related to the war on terrorism?
Join us for this lecture and discussion by Amy Chua, professor of law
at Yale University, where she teaches globalization and ethnic conflict,
among other courses. Her book, World on Fire: How Exporting Free
Market Democracy Breeds Ethnic Violence and Global Instability,
will be available for signing and purchase.
