TLC Medical Center (1998)
Healthcare students and professionals become familiar
and comfortable with the use of computers in the clinical setting.
Description
TLC Medical Center contains the computerized records of 12 fictitious patients,
ranging in age from 6 to 80, with a wide variety of diagnoses related to medical,
surgical, pediatric, obstetric, and psychiatric conditions. Students can access these
records, learning how to read records, print out records, enter new data, document patient
care, order supplies, and develop care plans.
TLC Medical Center comes with one free printed integration plan Ima
Wheezy: A Patient With Congestive Heart Failure. Additional ones are now
available and more are under development. Currently, the following are
available for purchase are:
Patrick Puffer: A Patient With Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease

clinical experience is an ideal substitution for patient care when a student misses a
clinical day. |
