Description
ChartSmart II is actually nine programs in one. It covers the entire charting
process from basic concepts to the actual charting of information in a patient's record.
Its nine modules include tutorials, games, practice activities, and a test bank. A
clinical application module provides practice in constructing charting phrases. An
evaluation module permits learners to select a charting format and a clinical situation
and then independently document patient information on simulated patient records or
on-screen computer charting forms. The instructor's manual includes a "Checklist for
Charting" and printed copies of the tests in the program to help students and
instructors evaluate the knowledge gained from the program.
The cost of the program is $595 plus $10 shipping and handling. Free site license and networking are included. The program runs under Windows 95 or higher and is distributed on CD-ROM.
