Manual Breaching

Hours: 8
Tuition: $125

Program Information:

In the age of rapid deployment and required immediate action by responding officers, training in the use of manual breaching tools is essential to the missions of patrol officers and tactical operators. This eight-hour training contains instruction on door construction and mechanics, breaching doors and windows, alternate breach points and ingress through the breach point. Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to properly utilize manual breaching tools for high-risk entries. This course will be comprised practical exercises in SLEA's 4-D immersive tactical village, using breaching doors and windows from Breaching Technologies, Inc.

Topics Include:

• Proper use of the Halligan and the ram
• Fortified doors
• Raking windows
• Entering the breach point and dominating that room
• Low-light entry
