An Open Letter to College of DuPage Students
Dear College of DuPage Student,College of DuPage will be converting its academic calendar from the quarter system to the semester system beginning in Fall (August) 2005. The purpose of this letter is to inform you of how this change will affect some course sequences and to give you accurate information so that you can make informed decisions.
In the conversion from quarters to semesters, many three-course sequences will be converted to a two-course sequence. On some occasions, four-course sequences will be converted to three courses and two-course sequences will be converted to one course.
Our records indicate that you have begun, but not finished, one of these course sequences.
If your program, degree, or transfer college requires that you complete the whole sequence, you should complete all quarter hour sequences before the college converts to semester hours. C.O.D.’s last term on the quarter system will be Summer 2005.
If you are currently enrolled in the final course of a sequence, and will successfully complete it, please disregard this letter.
We strongly recommend that you take advantage of the academic advising services that are available. Stop by or call the Counseling and Advising Center, SRC 2044, (630) 942-2259, to speak with a General Adviser or to make an appointment with a Counselor. Faculty Advisers make their own appointments and should be contacted directly by students. Check the “Search” link on the College of DuPage website, www.cod.edu, to access contact information for Faculty Advisers.
